Bowler Andy Gorvin will lead Glamorgan in the 2026 Metro Bank One Day Cup (ODC).

The 28-year-old helped the Welsh county win the competition in his first season in 2021 and 2024, with director of cricket Mark Wallace hailing Gorvin as “one of the most popular and respected members of the team”.

Wallace added: “With several players in The Hundred, the competition allows us to give opportunities to different players.”

Gorvin said: “We have an exciting group of young players emerging and, along with some more experienced bosses, we are looking to build on performances from other formats this season and in the ODC over recent years.”

The Winchester-born player says Glamorgan “can’t wait to get started” when they host Sussex at Gnoll, Neath, on Wednesday, July 22.

David Harrison will resume the role he held in 2021 as Glamorgan coach for the over-50s competition.
