\n\tBeta Film<\/a> has picked up international distribution rights for Spanish series \u201cIn Vitro<\/a>\u201d ahead of Series Mania<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIt follows a 37-year-old biologist Blanca, who takes on a job at a fertility clinic. She is forced not only to get to the bottom of the needs and risks of her clients, but her own as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tCreated by Marc Crehuet<\/a> and Alejandra Guimer\u00e0, it\u2019s directed by Crehuet (\u201cWelcome to the Family, \u201cGreenpower\u201d) and described as a \u201cheartwarming, innovative and witty look at how babies are made.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBruna Cus\u00ed (\u201cMerli,\u201d \u201cAll We Cannot See,\u201d \u201cFacil\u201d) plays Blanca, increasingly confronted with ethical dilemmas that test her principles and beliefs, not the least of which being: Is it right to satisfy the desire to have children, no matter what?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the clinic, her protagonist also meets H\u00e9ctor: an outstanding, but all too rational embryologist whose brutal frankness often scares clients away. The clinic\u2019s boss Andreu hopes Blanca\u2019s empathetic nature will outweigh H\u00e9ctor\u2019s harshness. But sometimes, her idealism gets in the way of business, too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDavid Verdaguer (\u201cPerfect Life,\u201d \u201cAway\u201d), Diana Gomez (\u201cValeria,\u201d \u201cMoney Heist\u201d), Maria Pujalte (\u201cCland,\u201d Toy Boy\u201d) also star.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn Vitro\u201d is produced by Moir\u00e9 Films and Rodar y Rodar in co-production with Bullfrog Pictures in association with 3Cat and HBO Max Spain.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe dramedy is among the ten selected series of Series Mania\u2019s exclusive showcase \u201cBuyers Upfront\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBeta\u2019s line-up at the fest also includes their first K-Drama \u201cSnow White Must Die\u201d, Icelandic romantic drama \u201cEverybody Loves Horses\u201d, the French thriller series \u201cA Guilty Affair\u201d and the German medical movie cycle \u201cSimply Elli\u201d, as well as the London TV Screenings highlights \u201cGomorrah \u2013 The Origins\u201d, \u201cMaxima\u201d<\/a>, \u201cPatience \u201cand \u201cBarton Vet\u201d.<\/p>\n
