US President Donald Trump organized a second attempt to hold the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after the first event in April was disrupted by a gunman who opened fire near a security checkpoint.

A federal agent was hit, but was saved thanks to his bulletproof vest.

The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was accused of attempting to assassinate the president.

The event, designed to celebrate press freedom, was attended by hundreds of journalists.
