After a summer full of leaks and rumors about Apple’s most exciting upcoming products, the company has finally announced the date of its big fall event — Sept. 9, 2026. We’re pretty sure we’re gonna see a foldable iPhone (whether or not it’s called the iPhone Ultra), but what else is Apple going to do? If you have guesses, take two minutes to enter our free contest for a chance to win the latest version of the Apple Watch.

Round 3, the final round of our Big Guessing Game contest, runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 1. This round focuses entirely on Apple’s biggest day of the year, the early September launch event for the next iPhone.
Accordingly, the third round’s questions center on the things we don’t know yet. Will outgoing CEO Tim Cook join Ternus on stage? And what price will Apple set for its first foldable iPhone (if it’s announced)?

The initial rounds of CNET’s Big Guessing Game were plenty of fun. In Round 1, we had readers predict what would happen during Apple’s midyear WWDC conference. That threw a few curveballs everyone’s way — 96% of guessers thought that Ternus would speak, and he didn’t, leaving the stage for the outgoing Tim Cook. The biggest outlier? Only one person correctly called that the next MacOS update would be named “Golden Gate.”
Round 2 was aimed at lining up everyone’s guesses for the products coming at Apple’s annual September event. Over three quarters of readers (77%) predicted that Apple will debut its first foldable phone at the event, following plenty of rumors suggesting the same. Just over half (51%) think Apple will announce its first pair of smart glasses, though the rumor mill is much quieter on that prediction.
How many iPhones will be revealed? Will there be an Apple Watch 4 at the event? Will Ternus end his first big-time event with a “One More Thing” — and what will it be? Guess correctly and that brand-new Apple Watch could be yours.
