Trump’s various lawsuits against media companies netted him $86.5 million last year.

The largest payment came from Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram. The document shows that the company gave the president $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit over the suspension of Trump’s accounts in the wake of the riots in Washington DC on January 6, 2021.

Lawsuits against Paramount, owner of the CBS news channel, and ABC News resulted in payments of $16 million each.

According to the disclosure, net proceeds from the lawsuits will go to Trump’s presidential library.

Trump also received $22 million from YouTube to settle a case he filed over the suspension of his account on that platform after the 2021 riots.

That money will be given to the trust that manages the National Mall in DC.

There was an $8 million payment to Trump from Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter (now called X after being bought by Elon Musk) after the president was banned from the platform following the riots.

The documents do not say what that money will be used for.
