Gloucestershire have signed Indian bowler R Sai Kishore for the remaining six matches of the County Championship season.
The left-arm spinner played two games for Surrey last season, taking five wickets in their win at Durham.
The 29-year-old has three T20 caps for his country and has played for Tamil Nadu in the Indian Ranji Trophy for the last nine years, while he was part of the Gujarat Titans team in the Indian Premier League that won the competition in 2022.
He has taken 223 wickets, including 14 five-wicket hauls, in 54 first-class matches.
Gloucestershire have won one of eight county championship matches so far this season and sit bottom of the Division Two table.
Director of Cricket Jon Lewis said they were “committed” to playing better cricket for the rest of the campaign, which resumes on August 20 at home to Worcestershire.
“The conditions at this time of year are usually very conducive to bowling, so we are hopeful that Sai can make a significant contribution and have a really positive impact on the team,” he added.
