Surrey batsman Laurie Evans says her team is ready for the T20 Blast quarter-final against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws on Wednesday.
Despite an eight-wicket defeat to Essex at the Kia Oval on Sunday, Surrey reached the knockout rounds after finishing second in the South group.
Ahead of the trip to the Midlands, Evans insists the team are not afraid of the task ahead.
“I don’t think we won the quarter-final at home so I’m not worried. I’ll go anywhere,” he told BBC Radio Surrey.
“If they had offered us this at the start of the tournament, we would have accepted it.
“We want to lead the group as we have done before. We have been very strong in the groups for the last five years. Now the important thing for us begins.”
Evans says the team, which has not changed in the last three games, has the experience to cope with the task.
“Individually, we have experience of a lot of big games. The question is, can we continue to do it as a collective for Surrey?
“It’s been a long time since we won this tournament, everyone knows that. We have as much chance as anyone, but we have to play good cricket.”
