Mitch Stanley has been awarded a new two-year contract to remain at Lancashire until the end of the 2028 season.

Stanley joined Lancashire from Worcestershire ahead of the 2024 season, but after injury problems it was only this year that he earned a regular place in the team.

The 25-year-old fast bowler took 15 wickets in his four Championship games and took a personal best of 4-30 in Lancashire’s victory over Yorkshire in the T20 Blast at Emirates Old Trafford.

“I feel like my game has developed a lot, but there is still a lot more to come, and I hope to continue that journey and help Lancashire achieve success over the next two years and beyond,” Stanley told the club website., external.

Stanley, who has played for the England Lions, also has an England development contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), along with fellow fast bowlers Josh Hull of Leicestershire, Sonny Baker of Hampshire and Tom Lawes of Surrey.
