NBC Sports hopes to keep the nation’s summer of soccer alive, capitalizing on interest in its World Cup broadcasts on Telemundo and Peacock for its annual focus on Premier League play.

NBC Sports and the league on Thursday launched “Find Your Match,” a shareable, 11-question interactive quiz that matches die-hard fans or even the simply curious with a Premier League club based on their personality traits and cultural interests. The result, says Lyndsay Signor, senior vice president of marketing for NBC Sports, is a connection that will allow NBC and the League to send each participant information about how to watch the team during the 2026-2027 season, which begins on NBC, Peacock and Versant’s USA Network.

“We have a lot of data showing that people who discover football for the first time through the World Cup don’t want it to end,” he says. “They want to maintain their fandom.”

More players at the 2026 FIFA World Cup are from the Premier League than any other organisation: 182 played in the Premier League last season or are registered for next season. Among them is Erling Haaland, the Norwegian footballer who has seen his profile rise during the World Cup.

“Many of the Premier League stars are making their way in the World Cup,” Signor points out. “If you’re not a die-hard fan, you’ll be able to watch them play all year round through the Premier League. If you’re a die-hard fan, you’ll see them on the international stage in a different way.”

The quiz will officially debut within the Premier League’s presence at Fanatics Fest NYC this week, July 16-19, where fans will be able to experience a full-scale “Find Your Match experience.” Event attendees will be among the first to experience the quiz and discover their club match.

“We are incredibly excited for the upcoming season and look forward to bringing the energy of the Premier League to even more sports fans who have fallen in love with soccer this summer,” Akash Jain, CEO of the Premier League in the United States, said in a statement. He added: “No matter which of our 20 clubs fans join, we are confident they will find a team they can connect with on an unforgettable journey this season and beyond.”

Fans who complete the quiz will also have the chance to win a trip to the UK to watch the Premier League club they just matched play. The quiz is available on NBCSports.com, PremierLeague.com and the Premier League app.

The questionnaire shows casual and hardcore fans that “we have a place for them to continue watching their stars,” Signor says.
