Toronto police said they were investigating the latest attack with the help of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and international law enforcement partners. Superintendent Jonathan Ko of the RCMP called it “another disturbing incident,” while the city’s mayor, Olivia Chow, called the attack “brazen.” The shooting occurred at around 04:45 local time (09:45 BST).
