Former fast bowler Richardson took over as head coach in 2022 after an 18-year playing career and won promotion in his first season, but says last year’s trophy holds a special place. The loss of left-arm spinner Josh Baker, who died in May 2024 at the age of 20, gave additional meaning to the trophy.
