For the first time since April, Savannah Guthrie posted a new video on Instagram directly addressing her mother’s kidnappers.

“Today I come with a very specific message. It’s been months since our mother was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed,” the “Today” host said. His mother, Nancy, disappeared in February and has not yet been found. “We have done our part and we will never stop looking for her. We will always hurt her and feel that hole in our hearts.”

Guthrie then attempted to appeal directly to the people who took his mother or who may know where she is now. “The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I ask you, I beg you, do the right thing now,” he continued. “Make the right decision. Help us find it. Tell us where to look for it. I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing. Help us put an end to this situation. For all of us, no matter where we have been and what we have done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right decision.”

Nancy disappeared on February 1 after she failed to show up for her regular Sunday church service. The next day, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department ruled her disappearance a suspected kidnapping after finding disturbing evidence at her home in Tucson, Arizona. The FBI joined the search for Nancy and offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to her recovery. It was later raised to $200,000 and then to $1 million on February 24.

On February 10, the FBI recovered footage from a destroyed Ring doorbell camera at Nancy’s home that showed the only person of interest in the case. The video shows “a man, approximately 5’9” ​​– 5’10” tall, with an average build” approaching Nancy’s front door armed and wearing a hiking backpack. After the images were released, the FBI said it had received more than 13,000 tips about Nancy, but no arrests had been made.

Guthrie has posted several videos on her social media calling on her mother’s kidnappers to return her safely.

“We also know that she may be lost,” he said on February 24. “He may already be gone. He may have already come home to the Lord that he loves and who is dancing in heaven with his mom and dad and his beloved brother Pierce and our dad. If this is what it’s going to be, then we’ll accept it. But we need to know where he is. We need him to come home.”
