SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the season 8 finale of “Love Island USA.”
The final public vote for season 8 of “Love Island USA” decided that Bryce and Trinity were the winners of the dating reality show.
Bryce and Trinity were joined in the final four by second-place finishers Aniya and Carl, third-place finishers Melanie and Sincere, and fourth-place finishers Kayda and Zach. Bryce and Trinity took home the $100,000 cash prize.
The couple has been together since their first coupling on the show and has remained strong over the course of the past month. Melanie and Sincere were also among the first couples matched, after Sincere chose Melanie over Aniya, who initially showed interest in a hookup during the premiere episode. Their connection became shaky during movie night, when it was revealed that Sincere was leading both Melanie and Sol.
Meanwhile, Kayda and Zach formed their connection earlier in the season after Zach chose Kayda, who was introduced as one of the bombshells, over Kenzie. Aniya and Carl hooked up later in the season after Casa Amor and quickly became fan favorites.
As the show continues to grow in popularity, host Ariana Madix recently received her first Emmy nomination for hosting the show Peacock. The Season 8 premiere marked Peacock’s most-watched television debut in history, with a total of 3.7 million views, according to NBCUniversal’s own data.
This season was not without controversy, as two Islanders were expelled after racist videos of them saying the n-word resurfaced online. In season 7, two contestants were also kicked out of the villa after using racial slurs.
Madix will return to host a “Love Island” Season 8 reunion on August 31 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET. The series is produced by ITV America in association with Lifted Entertainment and WPP Media’s Motion Entertainment.
