‘Tis the season for “Bob’s Burgers,” which will return to the holidays with a new Christmas-themed short premiering on Hulu (and internationally for most Disney+ subscribers) later this year.

Here’s the description of the short, titled “On Christmas Day Snow”: “A record-breaking Christmas snowstorm means one thing to the children of Belcher: a record-breaking Christmas snowstorm.”

At the “Bob’s Burgers” panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, July 25 at Ballroom 20,

“Bob’s Burgers” creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard announced “On Christmas Day” at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday during his panel. Also on the panel were H. Jon Benjamin (Bob Belcher), John Roberts (Linda Belcher), Kristen Schaal (Louise Belcher), Eugene Mirman (Gene Belcher), Dan Mintz (Tina Belcher) and supervising director Bernard Derriman.

“On the Fort Day of Christmas” represents the first exclusive “Bob’s Burgers” short to be produced for Hulu. The series previously launched the show “My Butt Has a Fever,” which premiered in theaters and then on FXX in 2022. Other extensions to the hit series include “The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” which also premiered in 2022.

“Bob’s Burgers” returns for season 17 on Fox midseason (early 2027) and streams the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ (for U.S. bundle subscribers).

20th Television Animation is behind “Bob’s Burgers,” which was created and executive produced by Loren Bouchard. Nora Smith, Dan Fybel, Rich Rinaldi, Jon Schroeder, Steven Davis, Scott Jacobson, Holly Schlesinger, Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Janelle Momary-Neely also serve as executive producers. The series was co-developed by Jim Dauterive.
