Trump Media & Technology Group, owner of Truth Social, is launching a paid service to give Wall Street firms high-speed access to its most influential posts, although it is unclear whether the paid service will include President Trump’s posts.

Starting August 1, instant updates will be delivered from key accounts, it said.

The company behind the app hopes this will create a new steady source of money for the currently loss-making company.

It is probably aimed at financial traders who want to quickly see the news that moves the market. Trump’s social media posts often trigger sudden shifts in global markets, especially when he writes about trade and tariffs. For businesses, a delay of even seconds can be costly.

Until now, banks and merchants had to control the app manually. The new system will send posts directly to paying customers.

“Markets are already moving on Truth Social posts,” said Kevin McGurn, acting head of Trump Media, adding that the service will generate steady profits.

The service will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The company, which launched its social media app in 2022, said some companies have been copying its data for months without permission.

McGurn warned that Trump Media will soon block these methods, forcing companies to buy the official broadcast.

While other social networks already sell data, the move highlights the unique overlap between Trump’s private businesses and his public role as president.
