Yorkshire have signed English bowler Em Arlott on a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old, who was named in the one-day international squad to face New Zealand earlier this summer but was ruled out with concussion after being hit while batting in the nets, will leave Warwickshire at the end of the season.

“When I spoke to (Yorkshire coach) Rich Pyrah and Gavin Hamilton, I could feel the vision of where they are taking this team and having the opportunity to play with cricketers like Lauren Winfield-Hill and Jess Jonassen is a big draw. These are legends of the game and I feel ready to help take Yorkshire to the top.”

Norfolk-born Arlott, who plays for Welsh Fire in this season’s Hundred, made the last of her ten international appearances against Pakistan in the World Cup nine months ago.

He has taken 28 wickets in the last two seasons for Warwickshire.
