Mitchell Marsh starred with the bat as Sunrisers Leeds secured their first win of The Hundred by defeating Southern Brave by five runs at Headingley.

The Sunrisers began the 2026 campaign with a seven-wicket loss to MI London but bounced back with a hard-fought victory, while Brave remain winless after two matches.

Asked to bat first, Marsh and Ryan Rickelton gave the Sunrisers a flying start, with the former reaching a blistering half-century in just 26 balls.

The Australian looked dangerous from the start and made the most of a wayward set by Luke Wood, which went for 28 runs and included four free hits, as the Sunrisers raced to 102 without loss in the middle of the innings.

Adil Rashid slowed down the scoring by claiming three wickets in the next set, including Marsh for 69 off 34 balls.
