for the second WIRED@NIGHT, WIRED presents a special screening of The oldest person in the worlda documentary that will not hit theaters until September. Appropriately, the location is Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
The oldest person in the worldDirected by Oscar nominee Sam Green, it is a decade-long global journey chronicling the ever-changing list of record holders for the title of oldest living person. What begins as a portrait of longevity becomes a meditation on the passage of time, the randomness of fate, and the joy and profound human experience of being alive.
After the film, Green will join feature director Reyhan Harmanci to talk about a very CONNECTED topic: longevity. What can we learn from these “super-aged people” and why people are so obsessed with the search for a long life. Are we here for a good time or a long time?
