Hampshire’s Liam Dawson and Somerset’s Tom Banton will be released from England’s one-day international squad to play on Saturday’s T20 Finals day, their counties said.
They have been part of Brendon McCullum’s team currently facing India in an ODI series, with the third and final match scheduled for Sunday at Lord’s.
Banton is yet to start the series but Dawson played in the first ODI defeat before missing Thursday’s four-wicket win in Cardiff.
Hampshire and Somerset came into finals day with entertaining quarter-final victories: the Hawks beat Essex in the Utilita Bowl by 75 runs, while defending champions Somerset dramatically beat Yorkshire.
Banton was released by England for that quarter-final, but disappointed with the bat, he was dismissed for a five-ball run.
Dawson was not allowed to play for Hampshire in the quarter-finals having produced career-best numbers for England in the first ODI against India the previous day.
The left-arm spinner scored 68 runs, his highest score for England in any format, and then bowled just two overs.
Finals day begins in Edgbaston at 11:00 BST with the first semi-final between Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Somerset.
Hampshire Hawks will take on Notts Outlaws at 2.30pm, before the final at 6.45pm.
