Prime Video India and Korean powerhouse CJ ENM have signed a multi-year distribution deal that will add more than 100 Korean titles to the streamer’s Indian lineup over the next two years.
The deal covers 26 new CJ ENM titles along with a broader slate drawn from the studio’s existing library and expands the companies’ existing global partnership with a dedicated focus on India. New and future titles under the agreement will have English subtitles and dubbing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
The list opens with season 3 of “Yumi’s Cells,” the latest chapter in CJ ENM’s flagship franchise, which topped streaming charts in 81 countries, including the US, Brazil, France and the United Arab Emirates. Also on the calendar are “Filing for Love,” which ranked No. 1 in 105 countries; featured series “The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier”; and the romantic comedy “My Bias, My Boss.” The deal also includes library titles such as “Dear The lineup features talents including Kim You-Jung, Lee Jong-suk, Park Ji-hoon and Cha Woo-min, and spans the genres of drama, thriller, romance, fantasy and action.
“Building on our strong global relationship with CJ ENM and the agreement announced last year, we are excited to deepen this collaboration with greater focus on India,” said Shilangi Mukherji, Director and Head of SVOD Business, Prime Video India. “The popularity of Korean content has been notable in our Prime Video markets. Compelling storytelling, diverse genres and memorable characters that transcend boundaries have fueled a wave of K content that continues to gain momentum year after year. By bringing a curated slate of premium Korean titles to Prime Video, we are doubling down on our commitment to making Korea’s most innovative and captivating stories accessible to Indian audiences.”
The India-focused pact builds on a series of recent moves by CJ ENM to expand its presence in the country. The studio and Prime Video first reached a multi-year global distribution deal in May 2025 at Mumbai’s WAVES Bazaar market, which gave the streamer worldwide rights, excluding Korea and China, to CJ ENM titles, including “Head Over Heels.” CJ ENM followed that in September 2025 with a separate licensing deal that brought 18 K-dramas to Amazon’s free, ad-supported MX Player service in India.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Prime Video India to bring CJ ENM’s acclaimed K-dramas to a wider audience in one of the world’s most dynamic entertainment markets,” said Seo Jangho, Executive Vice President of CJ ENM’s Platforms Division. “Prime Video’s unparalleled reach in India, combined with its deep investment in local audiences, makes it the ideal partner to amplify our content to millions of new viewers. This partnership reflects our continued commitment to expanding the global reach of Korean storytelling. We look forward to connecting more deeply with Indian audiences and sharing the richness and emotional depth of K-dramas with viewers across the region.”
Prime members will be able to stream the new titles at no additional cost.
“At Prime Video India, we keep an eye on what our customers watch and what stories resonate with them,” said Manish Menghani, director and head of content licensing, Prime Video, India. “The rise in popularity of K content is undeniable. CJ ENM is one of Korea’s largest entertainment studios, with an extensive library of beloved titles such as ‘Legend of the Blue Sea,’ ‘Prison Playbook,’ ‘Mother,’ and ‘A Practical Guide to Love,’ among several others, all of which will be released on Prime Video over the next two years. The continued success of our global content deal with CJ ENM is a testament to this growth. For us, this deal is not just “the natural step forward, supported by customer preferences, but also a reflection of the commitment to making Prime Video India the ideal destination for the best international content.”
