Samsung has just announced its latest range of devices and the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is among the top new releases available for pre-order. The watch will be officially launched on August 7, 2026.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 expands on the first-generation Ultra model focused on outdoor adventures and fitness, adding longer battery life, improved performance, and several improved features for outdoor sports and health, among other updates. The watch, available in Titanium Gray or Titanium Silver (with several different bracelet types and colors), has a redesigned, slimmer profile and lighter straps.

How to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is available for pre-order at Samsung and Amazon. The watch has also begun to appear for pre-order through select cellular carriers.

If you pre-order on Samsung’s website and don’t choose to trade-in, you’ll be eligible for a $100 Samsung instant credit. Just keep in mind that the credit generally cannot be applied to the purchase of the watch itself, but is best used for accessories. If you pre-order through Amazon, you have the option to purchase the watch along with a $100 gift card at no additional cost (listed as a $100 deal on a $799.99 package).

What’s new in the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2?

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has multiple improved features compared to its predecessor. All of these metrics have been reported by Samsung. While our team briefly interacted with the Ultra 2 in person, we have yet to put it through our rigorous testing process.

• Longer battery life: The Ultra 2 features an 800 mAh battery, a 35% increase in capacity over the previous Ultra model. The watch was rated to last up to 60 hours of use (AOD on) on a single charge.
• Slimmer design: Despite the larger battery, the watch has a redesigned, slimmer profile overall (12% thinner compared to the last generation), adding to its stylish ability to transition from outdoor exercise to everyday wear. The new bands are also lighter and offer a more breathable and comfortable fit.
• Performance: The watch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite (which replaces Exynos), which improves power, speed, and GPS tracking. This display is also ultra-bright, with an unparalleled 5000 nits (maximum).
• Trail running: The new Trail Run feature can help outdoor adventurers, including ultra runners, better track their progress, terrain, and elevation.
• Nutritional alert: A new addition to the sweat loss function can help estimate hydration needs during training. The guide considers sweat loss and body weight to estimate the amounts and frequency of rehydration needed.
• Dive: Perhaps the most innovative and unique new feature of the Ultra Watch 2 is the Diving app, expected later this year. The feature was developed with diving brand Mares to track real-time diving data, including depth, time, water temperature, ascent/descent speed, and safe dive limits.

Trade-in values ​​are pretty decent for recent smartwatch models, even on Apple Watches (although iPhone vs. Samsung phone trade-in prices are still terrible).
