Digital ways of life are taking over Kuala Lumpur.

“Algorithmic Organisms 2.0”, an immersive audio-visual exhibition powered by artificial intelligence by Dutch artist Ray Tijssen, opened at The Gray Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur, ahead of its public presentation until July 19.

The show weaves together artificial intelligence, generative imagery, immersive audio and spatial narrative design, which organizers describe as a living, evolving environment. It is organized by Jazzy Group of Companies and presented by MAISEAT, with the support of the National Art Gallery of Malaysia (Balai Seni Negara). The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kuala Lumpur also supported the project.

The inauguration attracted figures from the arts and creative industries along with the media, strategic partners, cultural institutions and members of the diplomatic community.

“More than a traditional exhibition, it invites the public into a living audiovisual environment where AI-generated imagery, immersive sound and digital lifeforms continually evolve in real time. It challenges the way we experience art, not as passive observers, but as participants within the work itself,” said Joanne Goh, founder and CEO of Jazzy Group of Companies, in her opening remarks.

Goh added that the project reflects Jazzy Group’s broader drive to bring internationally-minded creative programming to Malaysia and foster dialogue between art, technology and culture.

Dutch audiovisual artist and creative director 0010×0010, known offstage as Ray Tijssen, joined the ceremony to present the curatorial thinking behind the show, addressing the interplay between technology and creativity and the visitor journey that the exhibition is designed to offer. Based in Los Angeles and serving as creative director of SQNXR, Tijssen has built a career around immersive visual installations, sound design, and AI-powered imaging systems. Variety It first reported on the exhibition in April, when it was announced as a side installation of the 2026 edition of the Malaysia International Film Festival, which will be held from July 18 to 25 in Kuala Lumpur.

Goh and Tijssen, along with representatives from the exhibition’s presenting partners and sponsors, cut the ribbon to mark the official opening. Tijssen then guided guests through a tour of the facility, explaining how artificial intelligence, sound design and generative imagery work together to keep the show’s audiovisual landscape ever-changing.

The evening closed with a cocktail party with live DJ sessions and synchronized audiovisual projections.

Tijssen will expand on the exhibition’s themes with “Computer Vision and Human Expression: An Interactive Masterclass with 0010×0010,” scheduled for July 4 at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia.

Jazzy Group of Companies also founded and organizes the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) and has a presence spanning film production, distribution and exhibition in Asia and beyond.
