The summer of streaming price hikes continues with another big-hitter increasing its fees. One year after its last increase, Apple TV has once again hiked its prices. This time around, both monthly and annual plans are affected.
On August 28, 2026, Apple TV hiked its prices, effective immediately. Apple TV now costs $14.99 a month or $119 a year. Previously, monthly subscriptions cost $12.99 a month, and annual subscriptions cost $99 a year.
The Apple One Individual plan — which bundles 50GB of iCloud, Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade — also received a price hike from $19.95 a month to $21.95 a month.
The streaming service’s most recent price hike occurred in August 2025, although it only impacted monthly plans, which were $9.99 a month. The platform offers only one tier of service, which includes ad-free on-demand programming.
The price hike comes in the wake of a very busy year for Apple TV, in which the streaming service made leaps and bounds (and dropped its old name). The platform has churned out several quality original series, including Emmy-nominated darlings “Widow’s Bay” and “Pluribus.” Apple TV also released the latest seasons of long-running fan favorites “For All Mankind” and “Ted Lasso,” and the new season of “Slow Horses” will drop in September.
2026 also marked the start of the service’s tenure as the official US Formula 1 broadcaster and its continued coverage of Friday Night Baseball. Additionally, Apple TV got rid of its MLS Season Pass, which previously unlocked every MLS match for an additional monthly fee, and instead folded all coverage into a standard Apple TV subscription at no extra cost.
Apple TV is just the latest domino to fall in a long line of streaming service subscription hikes. Peacock kicked off the recent onslaught of price hikes last week, and ESPN followed suit earlier this week. Late summer and early fall are often popular times for services to hike prices, as the fall sports season kicks off and network TV shows return from hiatus. Netflix and Paramount Plus also upped their prices earlier this year.
One notable area that hasn’t received a price hike (yet) is the Peacock and Apple TV bundle, which lets subscribers bundle Apple TV and Peacock Premium for $14.99 a month or Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus for $19.99 a month. Following the recent price increases, bundle options can save subscribers over 40% each month compared to subscribing to the two services separately.
