President Donald Trump has unveiled $22 billion plans to renovate Dulles International Airport near Washington DC. The plans are part of its wider initiatives to beautify the capital city.

The BBC’s Shaimaa Khalil reports from one of the airport’s iconic ‘people movers’, mobile concourses that transport passengers from the terminal to the tarmac, which have been in use since the airport opened in 1962. The plan would replace the decades-old mobile concourses with an expanded train system and new concourses.

Travelers told the BBC that modernization is needed, but noted that the “people movers” are a bit nostalgic.
