President Masoud Pezeshkian made an unprecedented visit to New York City for the United Nations General Assembly this week. In a speech to leaders, he said that Iran will never “bend the knee” after almost seven months of war with the US and Israel, but is ready for a diplomatic solution to the conflict.

This is said to be the first time a President of a country actively at war with the US has stepped foot in New York to address this Assembly.
