Palm Beach International Airport was officially renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport on July 9, and workers installed new road signs outside the airport before the change.

The name change follows legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in March. The US Federal Aviation Administration said the airport’s three-letter code would also be updated from PBI to DJT.

Travelers expressed mixed reactions. One passenger said the president of the United States should be honored, while others said they preferred the airport’s previous name.
