“Final Fantasy VII” received a new gameplay trailer during gamescom Opening Night Live.
The third and final entry in the “Final Fantasy VII” remake series sees hostile giants called Weapons arriving to save a world undergoing a crisis. But, unable to determine who’s a true threat, the Weapons ultimately cause mass destruction on anyone or anything who stands in their way. It’s up to Cloud and his friends to fend off the giants and save the world from Sephiroth.
Also revealed in the trailer are Chocobo mounts, a grappling hook and the new Summon Typhon and open-world exploration via parachute. Cloud and Tifa are also seen in their new FITS, which is a new system of “Final Fantasy VII Revelation” that introduces unique outfits with increased power and new abilities.
“Final Fantasy VII Revelation” will release in spring 2027 on all platforms. Watch the trailer below.

Attention all Atari fans! Atari is bringing back 39 Atari 2600 titles on physical cartridges, including Pitfall!, River Raid and Kaboom.
Celebrating the reunion of Atari and Activision after nearly 50 years, the Atari x Activision Collection consists of three physical offerings.
The Standard Edition cartridges of a dozen popular titles will begin shipping in November for $34.99 each. Four Deluxe Box sets – Treasure, Speed, Secrets and Victory – expand the collection to 39 total games, with the first set shipping in late November and the rest to follow in Spring, Summer and Fall 2027. Each set will be sold via pre-order for $249.99. A Complete Collection, which includes all four Deluxe Sets and a to-be-announced collectible item, will be sold via pre-order for $999.96.
