Marriott Bonvoy has recruited some of the NFL‘s biggest names to plan travel guides in their home cities.
Among the participating athletes are Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp (Seattle), Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata (Philadelphia), NFL legend Jerry Rice (Mexico City) and former running backs Todd Gurley (Melbourne) and Mark Ingram II (Rio de Janiero), each offering recommendations for restaurants, local attractions and lesser-known spots in their respective cities.
So far, the hotel giant has rolled a total of 37 player-curated city guides covering every domestic and international market hosting an NFL game during the 2026 season
Each guide is designed by social media artist Jeff Cole, known for his sports-inspired digital artwork, and combines the players’ personal recommendations with illustrated maps of their cities.
Marriott has also launched a new 10-episode content series which will follow select players through their home destinations, while participating hotels will offer related experiences throughout the season. In select markets, fans can book packages combining NFL tickets, hotel accommodations and local activities.
Some of those experiences will be available through Marriott Bonvoy Moments, the company’s loyalty platform that allows members to redeem points for exclusive events. Its 2026-27 NFL offerings include packages tied to games involving the Ravens, Washington Commanders and 49ers, alongside international matchups in cities including Paris, Madrid and Munich. Additional Super Bowl packages are expected to become available in late November.
The campaign also marks the return of Marriott’s Super Bowl Sleepover Suite, a promotion that will give one winner the chance to spend the night before Super Bowl LXI inside a luxury suite converted into a hotel room at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. The sweepstakes runs through Dec. 15.
The broader partnership is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s ongoing “Where Gameday Checks In” marketing platform, which positions its hotel portfolio as a destination for traveling football fans. The company has also introduced a new advertising campaign, “Long-Distance NFL Relationships,” centered on fans who maintain their team allegiances while living far from their home markets.
This year, the NFL has made its most aggressive international push yet, with a record nine games across seven countries and four continents this season. The expansion is part of the league’s broader effort to turn American football into a year-round international business. League owners have already approved increasing the number of international games to 10 beginning in 2027, while commissioner Roger Goodell has floated an eventual expansion to 16 games per season.
The league kicked off its international slate in September with its first-ever regular-season game in Australia, pitting the San Francisco 49ers against the Los Angeles Rams at Melbourne Cricket Ground, followed by the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens facing off at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã Stadium. Paris will make its NFL debut on Oct. 25, when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New Orleans Saints at Stade de France, while London hosted three games earlier this month. Additional matchups are scheduled for Madrid, Munich and Mexico City through November.
Marriott’s 37 city guides are available through Marriott Bonvoy’s NFL Travel Hub, where fans can also explore game-day packages, redeem loyalty points for experiences and enter the Super Bowl Sleepover Suite sweepstakes.
