An eighth season of “Black Mirror” is officially in production, Variety can confirm.

The show started shooting this summer, although no launch date for the new season has been set yet.

Earlier this year creator Charlie Brooker vowed the dystopian anthology series “will return, and hopefully it’ll be more ‘Black Mirror’ than ever.” He is writing and exec producing the eighth season alongside Bisha K.Ali. Jessica Rhoades, Annabel Jones, Louise Sutton also EP while Mark Kinsella is a co-exec producer on the series, which is licensed by Banijay Rights.

The news comes as Netflix also confirms Season 2 orders for hit Neil Forsyth drama “Legends,” about a group of undercover customers officers, and reality series “Being Gordon Ramsay,” about the iconic chef and his growing family. The streamer also today confirmed “The Gentlemen” is set to return for a third season (Season 2 launched Sept. 3).

“Being Gordon Ramsay” will return to the streamer next year, with production already underway. “Gordon Ramsay is busier than ever,” the synopsis promises. “With restaurants to run, a 25-year anniversary to mark and a global brand to oversee, Gordon’s schedule is packed to the brim. Alongside the business empire, his family remains his greatest priority.”

The show is produced by Studio Ramsay Global. Exec producers are Ramsay, Amanda Westwood and Lisa Edwards. Dionne Bromfield directs and produces.

Meanwhile the new season of “Legends,” comprised of 6 episodes, will go into production next year. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to tell a new story in the fascinating and unique world that ‘Legends’ offers, and to show just how dangerous, thrilling, and important their work became in the late 1990s,” said Forsyth.

Forsyth exec produces alongside Ben Farrell, Rhiannon Forsyth for Tannadice Pictures, and Richard Bradley for Lion Television. “Legends” is produced by Tannadice Pictures, an Objective Media Group company, in association with Lion Television, both part of Banijay Entertainment.

“As the story moves further into the 1990s, a changing Britain faces a new drugs threat on a scale never seen before,” reads the Season 2 synopsis. “The team of undercover Custom Officers come together once more to take on new challenges, and new enemies, in a thrilling, worldwide operation.”

The streamer previously announced other popular U.K. dramas would also be returning for new outings including second seasons of “Supacell,” “House of Guinness” and “Black Doves.”

“Supacell” season 2 has just wrapped and is eyeing a 2027 release date, while the new instalment of “Black Doves” will hit screens later this year. “House of Guinness,” comprised of six episodes, is set to go into production in January.

“It was such a joy to bring the Guinness story to the screen, so I’m beyond thrilled to be continuing the story of one of the world’s greatest dynasties into Season 2,” said creator Steven Knight. “I can’t wait to dive deeper into these characters and their complex relationships as they expand the Guinness empire.”

In unscripted, audiences can look forward to the return of “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” (Season 9), coming to Netflix next year, “Love is Blind U.K.” (Season 4), which is set to start shooting next month with a new group of hopeful singles and is eyeing a 2027 release date, “At Home with the Furys” (Season 3), which is currently in production and “The Rest is Football” (Season 2), which will return for the 2026/27 Premier League season.
