Josh Lucas will star alongside Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning in the legal drama series “Discretion.” Variety has confirmed.

The show was originally announced with a straight-to-series order on Paramount+ in October 2025. It is based on the short story of the same name by Chandler Baker.

The series’ tagline reads: “Lenny (Fanning), a summer associate at a prestigious Dallas law firm, uncovers a web of confidentiality agreements that mask a dark truth. When she realizes she signed the same agreement, her discoveries put her in the crosshairs of the firm’s most powerful partner, Sharon (Kidman), changing their mentor-protégé dynamic and raising the question: Who’s keeping the secrets and at what cost?”

Baker writes and executive produces the series, with Kidman and Fanning serving as executive producers as well as starring. Susannah Grant also serves as executive producer. Kidman is an executive producer through Blossom Films with Per Saari, while Fanning, her sister Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward are executive producers through Lewellen Pictures. Jordan Cerf of Linden Entertainment and Joe Hipps of Cut To will also executive produce.
