While security cameras are ostensibly for, well, security, they can also be super handy for making sure your kids came home at the right time, checking up on your pets when you’re away, and investigating that weird sound in the middle of the night without having to get out of your toasty bed.

I’ve tested so very, very many security cameras, and there are a few reasons I think you should snap up this particular Eufy Security Wall Light Cam S4 deal at $80 off. I’m also going to highlight a couple of other Eufy options currently on sale.

The Eufy Wall Light Cam S4 looks and acts as a modern, motion-activated wall light, perfect for illuminating a driveway, porch, or back gate, which is where I have mine (no more stubbed toes when I take out the trash at night). Eufy has also packed in a 4K camera that you can swivel to get the right angle, offering a wide, crisp view of your chosen spot. It records locally, with 32 GB of storage built-in, and it’s subscription free, including the on-device AI detection, which can accurately distinguish between people, vehicles, and pets. Installation is quick and easy, and it connects directly to your Wi-Fi. You’ll just need a decent signal at your chosen spot.

To sweeten the deal, there’s a solar panel to keep the battery topped off. It sits neatly on top, but you can detach it for better placement to catch the sun’s rays. Despite being in a busy spot, mine has stayed charged for the last couple of months, though I suspect that may change as we head into winter.

What I like best about this security camera is the wall light functionality. You can set the brightness and color temperature (I like a warm light). You can also schedule it to only trigger between specific hours or set it to be activated from sunset to sunrise based on your location. I also love that it doesn’t scream outdoor security camera; you only notice it if you look closely.

Some downsides: the frame rate is just 15 fps, so fast-moving subjects can appear blurry, particularly in the dark (though the light helps with that). Some folks will also need to top off the battery off on occasion, so you’ll want to keep it somewhere within reach. I also feel it’s overpriced at the original $250, but at $170 ($80 off), that’s less of an issue.

If you need an indoor camera, the Eufy S350 is also on sale right now at $100 ($40 off), and it’s a wonderfully versatile, feature-packed, dual-lens camera. It even has automatic tracking, making it ideal for checking in on your cat or dog throughout the day. It regularly dips down to this price, so you might want to wait for Black Friday, when I predict it will drop another $20.

The EufyCam C35 2-Cam Kit at $130 ($70 off) is also worth considering right now. These cameras work inside or out with an easy magnetic mount and come with a handy HomeBase Mini for local recording and onboard AI that includes facial recognition. This is a common discount, but it’s still a great deal for a two-camera kit with hub.
