“EA Sports FC” has established World Cup record holder Kylian Mbappé as its cover athlete for “FC 27” Ultimate Edition, as well as the mobile version of the game created by Electronic Arts.

Mbappé last appeared in the franchise four years ago. The world-renowned French footballer has since moved to Real Madrid in 2024 and, during the most recent FIFA World Cup, surpassed Lionel Messi’s all-time record after scoring his 22nd goal on Sunday.

“Appearing on the cover of an ‘EA Sports FC’ title for the first time is a very special moment for me,” Mbappé said in a statement. “It’s an honor to continue my long-term relationship with the franchise in its final chapter, alongside the players who have shaped its history. I can’t wait for everyone to experience ‘FC 27.'”

Jeff Sharma, vice president of franchise strategy and marketing at EA Sports FC, added in his own statement: “We are delighted to welcome Kylian back to the franchise as the cover star of ‘EA Sports FC 27’. Kylian’s achievements for both club and country have established him as one of the defining players of his generation. Xbox launched Xbox backwards compatibility on PC in an early launch, with four original games available for the first time on PC and handheld devices.

This update makes it easier to play classic Xbox games on PC and portable devices.

The four games that can now be played are: “BLiNX: The Time Sweeper”, “Conker: Live and Reloaded”, “Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge” and “Fuzion Frenzy”.

On PC, players can now experience customizable language settings, customizable graphics settings including up to 4x improved resolution, Vsync support, full-screen and windowed display modes, anisotropic filtering, and improved anti-aliasing.

“The Sims 4” announced new summer updates with the Coach RePurposed capsule and Music Den kit.

Through the capsule, Sims can refresh their wardrobes with upcycled fashion pieces inspired by the Coach (Re)Loved line. The Coach collaboration will be available for free download through the “The Sims 4” Marketplace from July 28 to October 28.

The Music Den Kit offers new decor, soundproof panels and music-inspired furniture. The kit will be available starting July 23 for $4.99.

Players embark on a dangerous journey across the frozen Exomoon Inara in the studio’s open-world survival crafting adventure. Aboard humanity’s last refuge, a battery-powered train, they must gather resources and venture out to discover supplies before the cold saps the train’s power.
