The official trailer for “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups” has been released, presenting Yash in dual roles as Raya and Ticket – a father and son positioned on opposite sides of a conflict that drives the film’s narrative engine.

The trailer establishes the film’s visual ambition through high-octane action sequences and production design that spans multiple geographical and temporal settings. Alongside the central Yash roles, the trailer introduces Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, each positioned within a web of relationships and rivalries that define the ensemble narrative.

Director Geethu Mohandas constructs the world as one built on competing loyalties, betrayal and personal redemption. The cinematography, handled by Indian National Film Award winner Rajeev Ravi, emphasizes the film’s dark and textured visual language. Action choreography by J.J. Perry, the Hollywood stunt coordinator behind “John Wick” and “Fast & Furious,” anchors the production’s large-scale sequences.

The trailer signals a narrative grounded in moral ambiguity and raw human emotion rather than conventional gangster storytelling. As Yash previously noted of the project, the film explores “the dark side of human” characters through layers of complexity that extend beyond commercial spectacle. The ensemble cast brings distinct intensity to their respective roles, each occupying different positions within the film’s power dynamics.

Lionsgate is distributing the film across select international territories, underscoring the production’s positioning for global audiences. The film was shot simultaneously in the Kannada and English languages, with dubbed versions prepared for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam release.

“Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups” is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and directed by Mohandas. The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on Aug. 26.
