“Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2 added Gabriel Luna as a guest star. Variety has learned.
Luna will play Ray Ballard, a serial killer who operates under the name The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger. He will face off against series lead and returning star Michael C. Hall, the titular Dexter.
Luna is the latest addition to the second season of the Paramount+ series. Brian Cox will appear as The New York Ripper, while Dan Stevens will play The Five Borough Killer. Both Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson will also join the new season, with Uma Thurman reprising the role of Charley and Kristen Ritter also returning.
Luna has recently starred in shows like “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy” on Peacock, “The Last of Us” on HBO (for which he will return for season 3), and “FUBAR” on Netflix. He is also known for roles on shows like “Agents of SHIELD” and recently wrapped production on season 2 of “The Terminal List.” In film, he has starred in films such as “The Astronaut” and “Terminator: Dark Fate.”
He is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360 and Ziffren Brittenham.
“Dexter: Resurrection” was developed by original series director Clyde Phillips, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer of the new series. Hall produces as well as stars. Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns are executive producers along with John Goldwyn and Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean and Katrina Mathewson. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
