Kent have confirmed that Mikey Cohen will join Joey Evison in leaving the club following the conclusion of the 2026 season.

South African-born French bowler Cohen, 28, joined Kent before the 2024 campaign, qualifying as homegrown player through residency and took 13 wickets in 11 appearances across all formats.

Evison’s move to Sussex for 2027 was announced in July but the all-rounder joined his new club for the remaining five matches of the 2026 County Championship campaign.

Sussex finished third in Division One despite their 12-point deduction for finanical issues. They will be joined in the top flight next season by Kent who finished second in Division Two.

The 24-year-old Evison will now be reunited with former Kent head coach Matt Walker who takes over at Hove from Paul Farbrace in 2027.
