Paramount+ multi-camera comedy “Crutch” ends after just one season. Variety has learned.

The series, starring Tracy Morgan in the title role, originally debuted on Paramount+ in November 2025.

News of the series ending comes as no surprise, given that it failed to find a significant audience upon its debut and considering Morgan’s commitment to other projects. Notably, Morgan now stars in the NBC comedy “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.” That show debuted on NBC in January 2026 and was renewed for a second season in May. Additionally, casting options expired some time ago and many moved on to other projects.

With the cancellation, Paramount+ only has one live-action comedy in its current lineup, that being the Australian import “Colin from Accounts.” Instead, the streamer focuses on its dramas like Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” and the “Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch,” as well as the British crime drama “MobLand,” among others.

“Crutch” follows its main character, Francois “Frank” Crutchfield (Morgan), known as “Crutch,” who is described as “a brash but beloved store owner in Harlem who finds his world turned upside down when his intellectual son and free-spirited daughter return to the Crutchfield family home.”

The series was set in the world of “The Neighborhood,” one of CBS’s original comedy series, and Morgan appeared in a crossover episode of that show on the same day “Crutch” debuted on Paramount+.

Additional “Crutch” cast members included Jermaine Fowler, Kecia Lewis, Adrianna Mitchell, Adrian Martinez, Braxton Paul and Finn Maloney.

“Crutch” comes from Cedric The Entertainer and his production company, A Bird and a Bear Entertainment. The series is executive produced by Cedric The Entertainer and Eric C. Rhone and was created by Owen Smith, who served as executive producer and showrunner. “Crutch” executive producers included Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, Wendi Trilling of TrillTV, Mike Mariano and Morgan. The series was produced by CBS Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Paramount+ markets.
